  • The Nevada Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (NV Medicaid) provides medical care for eligible individuals and families with low incomes and limited resources. Information is available at http://dhcfp.state.nv.us or 1-775-684-3600.


  • The Nevada Check Up program (Children's Health Insurance Program) provides low-cost comprehensive health care coverage to low income, uninsured children who are not covered by private insurance or Medicaid. Information is available at www.nevadacheckup.state.nv.us/ or 1-800-360-6044.


  • Nevada Check up plus is a new program to help working parents, that work for small employers, afford employer-sponsored health insurance. Information is available at http://www.nevadacheckup.state.nv.us/indexPLUS.htm or 1-877-543-7669.


  • The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program provides aid - including health insurance assistance - to trade displaced workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced. Health care benefits include a 65% advanceable and refundable tax credit that can be used for health insurance coverage such as COBRA or continuing individual market coverage.
